12 Festive Christmas Outfit Ideas for the Holidays

With the arrival of November, our attention pivots toward the holiday season, and many of you have already requested ideas for holiday outfits. I don’t think most of us need to rush out and buy “special occasion” clothing.

Unless you have very formal events on your calendar, I’d encourage you to focus on creating festive outfits with pieces that can be re-purposed and worn multiple ways.

Today I’m sharing some ideas for “festive, not fussy” looks with multi-tasking separates.

1. Casual Festive Jumper With Jeans + Bobble Hat

Is there a more iconic outfit for the holidays than a simple Christmas sweater with a great pair of jeans? I really don’t think so.

From relaxed days out and about to specific Christmastime parties, this look is the ultimate go-to for so many different events on your calendar.

2. Grey Jumper & Miniskirt With Oversized Bow Hairstyle

Okay, so this is one of those absolute dream outfits for those days when it isn’t quite cold enough to require a coat.

I am completely obsessed with adding a huge red bow at Christmastime; it is such a cute look and provides the perfect subtle, festive nod to the season.

3. Oversized Jumper & Leggings Paired With UGGs

Who doesn’t love an outfit that feels relaxed but looks incredibly fashionable?

This is my personal uniform for getting Christmas shopping done. It’s both cozy and not overly warm, which is a lifesaver when you are going in and out of shops that have the heat cranked way too high. 😅💅

4. Red & Black Parisian Ensemble

If you are a fan of that French chic style, then you can stop looking because this is the look to inspire your Christmas 2024 wardrobe.

Red and black are just an undeniable winning color combination for any Christmastime outfit. 😌❤️

5. Red Trench Coat Styled With A Beret + Crossbody Bag

This outfit is so unbelievably classy and chic, and it just radiates pure winter energy!

For a casual winter look with just a little touch of festivity, this is the perfect outfit to get your Christmas 2024 wardrobe going.

6. Faux Fur Coat And Sambas Styled With Formal Handbag

Putting a formal outfit together with some sambas is such a great method for adding some contrast to a look, and in this instance, it’s perfect for a vibe that is sophisticated but also totally trendy.

From the office to a shopping day, this outfit is versatile enough to be worn almost anywhere during Christmastime.

7. Sherpa Puffer Jacket And Leggings Styled With Cap + Sunglasses

There is nothing that feels more like a non-negotiable wardrobe staple than a cozy jacket like this one.

A Sherpa or a statement puffer is such a fantastic piece that you will wear over and over again because you can put it together in so many different (and simple) ways. 🤭🫶

8. Cosy All White Outfit With Roll-neck Jumper, Coat + Straight Leg Trousers

You truly can’t go wrong with a single block color outfit, particularly in a gorgeous neutral. 🥹🫶

From the coat down to the shoes, every single piece of this outfit just screams total comfort, and there is nothing more fashionable than being extra comfy. 🤭💁‍♀️

9. Hoodie, Joggers + Mittens (Outdoor Outfit)

This is a super functional outfit for the outdoors that is also just ridiculously cute.

The main lesson to pull from this look for your Christmas 2024 wardrobe is that you should not be afraid of bright colors for your cozy wardrobe staples.

10. Matching Coat & Scarf Styled With All Black Ensemble

What a classy and chic look! This is absolutely perfect for those casual days out, and it would also make a great Christmastime outfit for work!

11. Neutral Trench Coat Styled With Jumper, Shirt, Miniskirt + Preppy Loafers

This outfit is peak winter fashion and serves as a great example of a Parisian chic, old money style look.

If you want to really make an impression this Christmastime, an outfit just like this one is perfect for achieving that goal.

12. Light Trench Styled With Matching Blue Hat, Scarf & Tote

This is such a cozy and aesthetically beautiful outfit!

Texture is an element that gets missed a lot when considering the chicness of a look, when it absolutely shouldn’t be.

I hope you loved these Christmastime outfit ideas and have gathered some Christmas outfit inspiration to get your wardrobe ready! Thanks for checking it out! 🙂
